We offer two locations. Sterling IL: 412 1st Avenue, Sterling, IL 61081 and Dixon IL: 98 S Galena Avenue, Dixon, IL 61021.
What do you do?

We break down barriers and build up communities through programs and services in Crisis Services, School Based Counseling, Girls’ Programs, Immigrant Outreach, Prevention Education, Racial Justice Training, and Room Rentals for events.
How do you empower women?

Our programs and services help women and girls access opportunities to improve their quality of life and achieve their potential. YWCA services and programs are available to anyone of any gender identity.
Are you an affiliated with YMCA?

No. We have similar names but we are separate entities. We have different boards, different missions, different programs and different histories.
How do I enroll in YWCA programs or services?

How is YWCA Structured?

YWCA of the Sauk Valley is one of over 190 members of YWCA USA. YWCA USA oversees its own programming and initiatives, maintains the YWCA brand nationally, and provides technical assistance and capacity building for all member organizations, known as Local Associations. Each Local Association is a fully independent 501(c)(3) (non-profit) organization and is not a subsidiary of or related to another Local Association or YWCA USA. Each also has its own leadership, bylaws, budget, and board of directors.
How do I donate?

You can donate online, by mail, in person or by phone. We accept gifts by check, cash or online credit card. You may elect to make a one-time gift or set up a reoccurring donation. For more information on making a donation, give us a call at 815.625.0333.
Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes! Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. For specific tax advice, please discuss the matter with an accountant or tax advisor.
