Healthy Relationships.

At the YWCA we are committed to helping girls develop their self-esteem and learn how to develop positive relationships. We provide Healthy Relationship Groups at four area high schools. Group activities focus on things such as self-esteem, communication, dating violence, sexual assault and body image.

Respect…Everyone Deserves It.

We believe that everyone deserves respect and children should be able to attend school without fear of bullying. To achieve this we work cooperatively with schools to offer anti-bullying programs in Lee and Whiteside counties.

Our program makes schools safer by teaching children to recognize, refuse and report bullying behavior.  We use a whole-school approach to train staff and parents to better assist students.  Our approach helps to create a school environment that is safe, caring and respectful.
